Global Partnership with Terralingua

Woxsen University, through its Visual Storytelling Centre (VSC), is proud to collaborate with Terralingua, a Canada-based nonprofit organization committed to sustaining biocultural diversity worldwide. This international partnership connects design education with global conservation advocacy, enabling students and faculty to engage with critical issues at the intersection of culture, language, biodiversity, and sustainability. Through VSC-led initiatives, the collaboration advances indigenous knowledge systems, promotes culturally rooted storytelling, and contributes to global awareness on biocultural conservation. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to interdisciplinary, design-driven solutions that recognize biological and cultural diversity as interconnected foundations for a sustainable and resilient future.

Logo Design Competition

In collaboration with Terralingua, a Canada-based nonprofit dedicated to sustaining biocultural diversity, the Visual Storytelling Centre (VSC) at the School of Arts and Design, Woxsen University, organized the Indigenous Youth Storytellers Circle (IYSC) Logo Design Competition. Conducted as part of Terralingua’s official initiative under the UN’s International Year of Indigenous Languages, the competition invited students to visually interpret and celebrate indigenous identity, storytelling, and cultural heritage. Woxsen students showcased exceptional creativity, with six finalists recognized for their outstanding design contributions. Through this initiative, VSC reaffirmed its commitment to empowering organizations through impactful visual storytelling while providing students with meaningful international exposure and real-world design engagement.
