The Centers of Excellence (CoEs) at the School of Art & Design (SOAD), Woxsen University function as research-driven and industry-integrated platforms that advance innovation across design, sustainability, emerging technologies, and strategic thinking. These centers are aligned with the university’s global collaboration ecosystem and are designed to bridge academic exploration with real-world application. At SOAD, the CoEs foster interdisciplinary experimentation, critical inquiry, and applied research enabling students and faculty to engage in live industry projects, publications, knowledge exchange, and future-focused design solutions. By integrating ethics, responsibility, sustainability, digital transformation, and design intelligence, the CoEs strengthen SOAD’s position as a forward-looking academic institution committed to measurable impact and global relevance.
